Here's a quick overview to what's going on with me and some other random things I feel like posting. After all, as I've said before, it's my space to say what I'd like...and who's really gonna stop me?? :) Let's start with the reasons that I haven't been blogging. In a nutshell...I'm busy.
A#1 (and the most exciting)...Donald.

Yes, believe it or not, it is true. I do indeed have a boyfriend. :) To save you all of that gushy stuff, I will just say that he is wonderful and makes me happy. He opens doors and walks me to my car and is (as all boyfriends *should* be) a perfect gentleman. I met him at church which is of course, especially for me, the perfect place. We go on fun dates (like ice skating and Scarowinds) but have also spent a lot of time serving at church expanding the Mosaic family. If you want more info...you have to ask. I'm not going public with it. :)
A#2...Work.
Ok. So Jody and I don't work at Starbucks. But we DID have Spirit Week this quarter and Career Day was a favorite of ours. Who says it's not good to be in Starbucks this often? I know them all by name and they help me out by lending me aprons and hats...what's the harm in that?! Also with school this week I had a field trip to the farm, a book character dance (Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz...pics coming soon), another luau day, parent-teacher conferences and loads of other stuff. Plus, this being my first time in kindergarten, there has just been a lot of work involved. So school is keeping me even busier than normal!
A#3...Mosaic. Period. (ha)
Not only have we gone to three - count 'em THREE - services, but we are about to shake up this city. "Let's talk about sex, baby, let's talk about you and me..." Okay. So let's not talk about you OR me at all (!!) but we will be talking about sex at Mosaic for the next 4 weeks. And this is a PG-13 series...not at all the same "sex talk" that you've heard since junior high youth group. This is going to break the chains of shame and guilt that are on a lot of people. (If you can't make it...check the podcast on iTunes. Mosaic Church, Charlotte.)
Okay. As for my random thoughts... :)
B#1...KT Tunstall. Eye to the Telescope.
I bought this CD off of iTunes. And I freaking love it. I think my favorite song on there right now is "Suddenly I See" which is probably one that you've heard if you know she is. Or even if you don't, you might know her song (Black Horse and the Cherry Tree) but that one might actually be my least favorite. The entire CD is amazing and I can't stop listening to it right now. You need to check her out. Very talented.
B#2...Race for the Cure.
I walked in Race for the Cure, the walk to support the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. I walked with a few girls from my small group and we had a great time. At first I didn't really want to go (at all) because I had to get up before 7:00 on a Saturday and try to go park downtown in the midst of hundreds of other people to go outside and freeze. It ended up being a great walk for a great cause and we all agreed that we were leaving feeling much better about ourselves. October was National Breast Cancer Awareness month.
B#3...Hair.
Let's face it, folks. This length is getting a little out of control. I don't think my hair has been this long since high school, when it was also very frizzy and accompanied by the amazing tunnel bangs (you know, the ones where you'd roll 'em in the curling iron and then sprayed them with hairspray immediately so that they kept the exact shape of the curling iron exactly). I was thinking of donating it to Locks of Love and I will probably still do that at some point...but I just can't bring myself to cut it yet. Probably when it gets a few inches longer so that when it is cut it'll still be close to my shoulders. Yikes!
In closing, dear friends, it's good to be loved. I was surprised that so many of you contacted me (stalked me, sent me threatening messages...) about why I hadn't been blogging. To be honest, I didn't know that I was so famous! ;) But I do enjoy sharing what I'm learning and already have the wheels a'turnin in the back of my mind for the next entry. Thanks for making me feel so loved and missed.
I'm sorry to have kept you waiting so long.
